It's been a very frustrating past few months. I just can't seem to get anything accomplished. Work has been so crazy and we have had so much turnover the past three months it has been brutal on those of us still here. Me being in a management position has made it even worse, working six sometimes seven days a week, 60+ hours per week seems to be the norm lately. All I want to do is write and create something that I'm proud of. Everything was going great for a while, but I've basically not accomplished a thing for three months, or so it feels. I have so many ideas running around in my head, I just need to get them out and on paper. Hopefully things will begin to turn around very soon, it can't enough soon enough however! Enough of my ranting, but thank you for listening. I hope to be adding many more blog entries in the very near future as things start to get back to normal.

I sincerely hope everyone out there has a wonderful holiday season, and an awesome new year!!🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎅🎄🎅🎄

Blog Post #3

This has been a very productive day thus far. My writing is coming along great, I don't know if any one else would agree with my assessment of that. Really, I just hope that one day others will enjoy my writing as much as I enjoy writing it. I'm very much looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks of my writings.

As those of you who read my last blog entry probably figured out one of my favorite topics is crime and murder. Though I still struggle to find that one niche and stick with it. So I just write whatever is on my mind that particular day. I have several "projects" that I've started and have a hard time finishing. While new to writing to the extent that I'm doing it now, it's something I've loved to do my entire life. As a child I was constantly writing, albeit just two or three page short stories, it's something I've always enjoyed doing. My dream has always been to be able to make a living writing, the only way to find out whether I can or not is to try my best and see what happen. Of course, we'd all love to have the success of Stephen King and sell millions upon millions of copies of our novels, but we know that's not a feasible goal. Honestly I would be shocked beyond belief making any money with my writing, but truth is often stranger than fiction, maybe just maybe it will happen one day. Money isn't really the goal though, most people that I've talked to write simply because they love to write, if any monetary gain comes with it all the better. But I'd be lying if I said anyone of us wouldn't love to be able to make a nice living doing what we love.

I'm very much looking forward to connecting with other writers on all platforms. There are what seems like infinite websites to help gain some visibility and exposure. I have yet to sign up on any of these sites, but hopefully will soon once I decide which one or ones. Writing is not an overnight thing, it is something that takes time and effort and consistency over time, the old saying is "persistence pays off". Well it's time to see if that 's true or not. It would be amazing simply to show my children that in the words of George McFly " If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything."

     To be continued.....

Here is just snippet of some random writing. I'm not sure where it will go from here, I tend to write without really having much of a plan. I love so many topics I have a hard time sticking to one. Would love to get some feedback on this snippet, I know it's not much to base any kind of opinion on. Hope to add much more to this small sample. Thanks for checking out my blog!

“What is a serial killer? Is it someone who just kills for kicks? Or is it someone who has a sickness and can’t help but kill? Whatever the reason the topic of serial killers has fascinated many for a very long time. From H.H. Holmes, at the 1893 World’s Columbian Expo in Chicago, to Jack the Ripper, in 1888 in the Whitechapel district of London, serial killers have been part of the human race for centuries. They aren’t exclusive to just one part of the world, they are spread all over the globe from desolate out of the way places to the most populous cities on earth. It is estimated that anywhere between twenty-five and fifty are currently active in the United States alone.”

“What is even more scary is that not all serial killers are ever brought to justice. Jack the Ripper in London, The Zodiac Killer of Northern California during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, are arguably the two most famous of these. Granted, science has come a long way since these prolific killers were in their prime, now with DNA testing it seems that it would be much harder for a serial killer to get away with his or her crime for very long. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. DNA can be found from blood, hair, skin and in some cases even oils left behind from simply touching an object can leave behind trace amounts of DNA.”

Starting a blog is something I've pondered for quite sometime. As an aspiring author I thought it was about time to start one. Though I call myself an aspiring author there are many things that I will be blogging about. Everything from snippets of latest writings to my views on whatever topic happens to be on my mind that day. I'm really into, and enjoy learning and writing about a wide variety of things.
Reading is truly what gets my creative juices flowing. My favorite author however cliche it may sound, is Stephen King. The man is a literary genius in my mind. The way he puts a story together and intertwines all the different layers and characters is amazing. Brad Meltzer is another favorite of mine, he is a great story teller. He also has great books for kids as well, truly a well versed individual and extremely intelligent writer. In reality there are far too many authors and books that I enjoy to list here, you may get bored reading them all. I'm sure more of favorites will come out in future posts.
This is the first of hopefully many blog posts that I hope everyone will enjoy reading. I can take criticism so if you don't agree with anything I say please let me know, or any constructive criticism that I could use to help my blogging would be greatly appreciated. As I said this is my first try at blogging. Of course if you like my blog I would love for you to let me know.
